QUESTIONS YOU SHOULD ASK A LIMOUSINE COMPANY

While not all of these questions may seem important to you as you read them, you will find that every limousine service is different, and that the questions you didn't ask, you should have. 

• What Operating Authority does your limousine service have?

Elite Limousines, Inc. has both Intrastate and Interstate Operating Authority.  We are located in New Albany, IN, so we have Indiana Intrastate Operating Authority, which gives us the right to perform limousine services solely within the State of Indiana.  We also have Federal Interstate Authority, which grants us authority to perform services which will be performed in Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and/or Tennessee.  We opened in 1998, and our authority has not been revoked at any time, for any reason.  Explanation of why this is important
 

• How much Commercial Liability Insurance does your limousine company carry?

Elite Limousines, Inc. carries a $1.5M in Commercial Liability Insurance, which meets the state and federal regulations for a company that has vehicles that carry under 16 passengers.  We have had the same insurance company, Northland Insurance, since we opened in 1998.  Our insurance has never lapsed or been canceled, for any reason.  Explanation of why this is important

 
• What year are your cars?

All of our cars are current body style models, with the exception of 2, which are the last body style (tapered edge, not boxed), and every one of them is immaculate!  We pride ourselves on having the cleanest fleet in town!  Explanation of why this is important
 
 
• What condition are your cars in?

At Elite Limousines, Inc. we are very proud of the condition of our cars.  We have worked hard to ensure that our cars are clean, both inside and out.  We also try to make sure that we are performing regular maintenance on the vehicles to avoid any mechanical problems that pop up at the worst possible time.  No one car guarantee that there won't be any problems since there are so many unknown variables, but we do make every effort.

Our cars are warehoused indoors, so they are not subject to the harsh elements outside when they are not out entertaining guests.  The sun, wind, and rain can really take a toll on a vehicle that is kept outside.  It costs more to keep our limousines inside, but the benefits are much greater to us and our customers.  When we clean our limousines, inside and out, we know that they are ready to go.  Explanation of why this is important
 
 

• Do you provide pick up and drop off service (taxi runs) for proms?

We started out the 2003 prom season stating that we would not perform them because of the problems that can happen when those services are performed, but as time went on, found that many people were adamant that they wanted that service over the limousine staying with them for the entire evening.  We eventually broke down and began doing them, and learned a lot in the process.  But our service is NOT the same as what other companies typically offer as a "taxi run".

When we pick up a group at the beginning of the evening, they will see the same driver and limousine all night long.  There will never be any question in their mind as to whether they are getting into the right limousine or whether their limousine is actually there or not.  Explanation of why this is important
 
 

• Do you still provide hourly service for proms?

Of course!!!  This was and will always be our preferred method of doing busines, but we do recognize that expenses are a major factor in the planning of proms.  Just please remember that expenses should not take presidence over the safety and well being of the students.  We will always do out best to keep the hourly rates affordable to our customers, no matter what their occassion may be.  Explanation of why this is important
